Portland/random people

Yesterday, Lauree and I went down to Portland (via Amtrak) to visit Baliee.

But while those were talking, I tried to give them some space and so I just watched people. And I noticed some interesting things, but heres some of things that happened that I remember most.

A lady had her hands full of food and dropped a napkin. She didn't notice, but the guy coming towards her did, he picked up the napkin and threw it away. (also three people saw it fall and just keep on walking)

Next i noticed that more often then not people hold open doors for the people behind them.

It seemed like the more normal you are or look the more willing people are to help you.

All old people want to do is talk it seems like, and I don't really want to talk to them (their kinda nosy) but I feel bad when I leave.

Watching peoples eyes while walking (8 out of 10 times) they first would look at Lauree and I holding hands, then catch my eyes, then look at Lauree and smile.

Theres more but I really don't feel like writing them.

All in all, I had a great time at Portland.

I aint gonna promise anything, but you might (key word: might) see something more from Lauree or Baliee.

Rambo

So this friday, while having a very crappy day, I watched Rambo with adam.

As a guy the Rambo movies are a most see. (along with James Bond, Transformers, Most war movies, 300 etc...)

Now I used to hunt, and I have killed many animals, and I have gutted deer. So violence and blood and gore in movies doesn't affect me. Why should it when I have seen the real thing?

But this movie changed that...

We have all seen Saving Private Ryan and remember the beach scene. That scene was 1/10 of how far Rambo goes. And that scene wasn't the whole movie.
After watching Rambo, I was sick. I didn't throw or anything, I just didn't want to eat.
Anybody remember Kill Bill? I was told to watch it because it had "great fight scenes" the whole point of that movie was to watch people die.
and thats what rambo was...but in incredibly more violent way.

* Sidenote, in Rambo Sylvester Stallone never took off his shirt! Never! Shocking I know.

Would I recommend it? I don't know, its not a date movie thats for sure, and if you can't stand blood, guts, and watching guys thoats being ripped out, then I would probably wouldn't.

The old times are killing me...

As most of you know, I have been watching the olympics. I really enjoy them. But quite possible the biggest thing going on and what this years olympics will be know for (hopefully) is Micheal Phelps quest for 8 golds.

The other day my dad told me that he didn't like Phelps. At all.
So I started thinking about Mark Spitz.

In case you didn't know Mark Spitz won 7 gold medals in the 1972 Munich Olympic games. But he isn't remembered for dominating at the 1972 games instead the 1972 Munich games will always be remembered for this. A side note, mark spitz is complaining about not being invited to watch Phelps try to break his record. Just sharing.
But here is where I am going with this:
I am watching my generations heros become heros. And in the process the old heros (mark Spitz) are being dethroned by the new heros (Phelps). And I couldn't enjoy it more. I'm exicted to see what my generations becomes.
But at the same time, I kinda feel bad for my dad as his generations heros are being replaced.

So come Phelps! lets see eight!

*I sure hope the 2008 Beijing Olympics is remermbered more for the breaking of records then Russia invading...

What would you of done?

On Saturday I was driving to get pizza for the movie night and I was coming from urraco after getting coffee with theelbow, when I saw three kids run away with airsoft guns. Next came a big black guy chasing them. The kids then ran behind a sign and started shooting him.
Now I was on the phone with my sis when this happened, and she can relate I was at a loss on what to do. Running through my mind was three options.
1. Stop and see if I could help the guy.
2. Call the cops.
3. Keep driving.

As you all know, I'm never at a loss for words or not know what to do.

But I was at a loss here.

And in the end i keep on driving.

The guy who was getting shot at wasn't screaming or running, but he didn't look happy.

So what would of you done?

*I'm putting up a poll but feel free to comment and explain why you picked what you picked. *

From the depths of hell comes...

As you guys all know (from reading my blog probably) English aint my strong suit at all. and if you know me well enough you also may know that I am a very very competitive person. Nothing and I mean NOTHING is just a game. Its a life or death struggle. And while i have been getting better, I do everything I can to win. Because thats the point of a game, to win. Duh. (now some of you may say that wining isn't everything, and having fun is whats important, and to that I say "sounds like a loser talking! Cuz winning is fun." Again Duh. )

Now I am a pretty happy-go lucky person. But if theres one thing that I hate more on this earth besides being sticky it would have to be Scrabble.

Nothing on this earth drives me to frustration then a game that I can't win at. Or understand.

I have played this "game" one maybe two and maybe god forbid three times, and after the last time I vowed to never play again. Ever. but I know some people, *Cough* Cough* Cough* will try their best to trick me into playing.

I really do hate the so called game of Scrabble. And crossword puzzles. And being sticky. And the other major evil.

End rant. Thats all I got.

(now you may ask why I posted this, to which i ask you "why not? Why wouldn't the world want to know of the one thing in the world that I hate?")

The Olympics

I love the idea of the Olympics.
But I don't love the current Olympics.

I really do like the idea of the world getting together and competing. But i'm really disappointed in what its turning out to be.

I guess that's all I got on it.

And I will be watching the some of the Olympic games.

A Totally Random Post

well... I havn't posted in long time, and I guess that would be because I don't have anything to write about.

But last night I planned badminton with the family in the backyard. And I had a blast . Probably the most fun I have had in a week or so. I really enjoyed it. So thanks Ben and Jess.

Also I did have a fun time with nate the saint.

random thing. My Pandora Radio station (The Shiz Radio) is pretty much my ipod which is in turn like 107.7 the end. but better!

another random fact. 90% of people, when asked what is a goatee, touch their chin.

Da bomb

So heres a bomb for you.
I am NOT going to Central Washington University this year. Or at all.
I WILL be going to Western in winter quarter.
This fall I will be attending the OC or spscc (again)

Shocked?

My dad and I were talking and I would be saving my self upwards of 6-8 THOUSAND dollars by going taking two or three classes at the local community college.

So I guess thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Angry hater notes? Leave away, I will answer any questions raised. I really do appreciate your honest feed back.

Peace
