da freaking post

As some of you know, I say "calm the freak down" a lot. and its caught on. so I just wanted to share this:
Joe (my bosses boss) had a bad (or brad?) day, so after freaking out, brad put up this sign.

And you all remember my uke? the one i took to snow up in da freaking Cananda. (yes I ment to type that) well I burnt it. It was a sad day and in the end I just couldn't do it so I saved part of it. the rest are the ashes in the sobe bottle. (and yes in fact the neck is hanging on my wall)

And out in right field...

So this post was finished Thursday. but I didn't like the way I wrote it so I rewrote it on Friday still didn't like so heres the final and lost copy.



This post all started out two years ago so hang on...

Nate and I were going door to door asking people to come to this thing that an old lady put on in the church. Nate and I had a strategy down, I hit one house then he hit the other. Other then that we "sold" our "product" differently. Nate's strategy was to say that this was event that you could learn about God etc etc etc. Me on the other hand had a different approach. To my "clients" I told them that it was a time of fun, a chance to relax with the kids. There would be games, food, and paddle boat rides. I made it seem like a blast.

EVERY one that I tried took the flier and said that it sounded great and they would be there.



To this day what I did can/will keep me up at night.

I feel like it was wrong. I hid the truth. I hid God.



What I did was wrong right? I used "goodies to cover up the fact that the whole event was about God.

I think most of you would agree.

Part two:

Last Wednesday Nate, Justin, and I watch a Mars Hill sermon on good Friday called the day of atonement. It was good and I liked it. At the end Justin said that Mars Hill was going to crucify someone on Friday. I have not seen or heard how this went, but this is what the post is about.

I watch the video promoting it and I started to kinda get angry. I felt like they were using the crucifixion as a hook. So I have been asking myself why would they do that? and the only answer I came up with is that they are trying to be so "out" there that people would come. I mean come on what churches do you see doing this?

So here's my thing, I want to post more on this but I think that if you give you should get, so people talk to me, tell me what you believe, is this right?

The Tuesday Herald

another additions to the semi-annual Tuesday Herald.

item 1: I-tunes you suck!, nothing good was given away this week and I was very disappointed. Last week was a not good week so I-tunes you have strike two.

item 2: Last year I played my first fantasy football game. I took third, but I learned my lesson. You need more then 1 team. So I will try my hand at fantasy baseball and already have 8 teams.

item 3: Last Sundays airsoft game was one of the most fun.

Item 4: I have realized that when I leave something (school, the state, church) I burn the bridges that I built. I really don't know why.

item 5: the winner of the poll was shave and get my haircut. I really didn't want that one to win but you guys voted so.

Remember this rant/vent? Well its time we revisited this. (don't look so happy people)

After I wrote this post, Rick S and I talked about it. It was a great talk and it gave me a lot to think about, but there was one thing that stuck with me since, it was a question: Rick S: What are you going to do about it? (talking about the church)
Well last night I lay in bed and started thinking. and well after much prayer. God (I believe) gave me an answer.
The bad news is I don't know how to explain it. The idea/theroy is fresh and clear in my mind but I cant think of a way to explain it it in a way that would make sense to you guys. Sorry, so I will try to think about it.

Airsoft

So yesterday after church I went airsofting with kyle T, Nate S, Drewski. I had a lot fun.
In game Nate and took the time to build a fort. We called it fort Knox. (it would of been the Alamo but danny had already took that name.

so as i sit here i wonder what i am going to do/who i am going to be in 5/10/20 years. So with that I started think what am I good at and i realize I really don't have any talents. i am a strong believe that EVERYONE has something that they can do better then anyone else, but I haven't found mine. so i think it is now a goal of mine to find out what my special talent is.

You know sometimes I really don't know what to blog about. Any of you have anything that you want me to talk/write/blog about?

Its in the air...

So anyone that really knows me, knows that baseball was/is my first true love. So here we are in march, spring training has started and April is fast a coming. I smell baseball, i'm dreaming of baseball, and now it is my focus. My favorite team hands down is the mariners. This is the only team that I have always liked. Nothing can be done to ruin my love for them, I been there for the highs and the lows. and well this year I really think that the m's have a chance for the wild card. (the angles are really really looking good) so besides confessing my love for the sport whats this post about you may ask. well, last night I found a free baseball game. now this isn't your uselly baseball game, you don't play any games you manage the team. And well I started to play last night and play i did. I went 7 hours playing learning about the game how it works and all that. so heres what happened:

I of course went with the m's. (duh!) Before I started the season i traded away most of my players over 35 for players between 20-25. Why? I knew that my team wasn't the best so i started to plan for the future. my first season .519 and third in the AL West. next season same thing as before trade away some of the old players for cash and younger players. finished fourth! with a wining season of .579. Same thing as before finished fourth with .500. Then the next year i struck I bought and trade for 3 ace pitchers and 5 hitters. My team was set. and off i went, wining game after game finishing SECOND in the AL West while wining the wild card with a .613 (the evil angels had .617 (a half game lead) I then lost in the ALCS to the evil angels.
So all this is saying is that this game is fun. and if you want to try your hand or want to learn about baseball heres a good way. the link to download for free is here.
